I know some people don’t really like this ambiguous ending, but I think it’s great. This script has fantastic screen direction from Steve McQueen and Abi Morgan executed perfectly from Michael Fassbender. I love how nothing is spoken, but we can see all the emotions described just from Fassbender’s facial expressions. The final ending is changed quite a bit, but the same idea is still there. There has been some debate as to whether he succumbs to his urges or not, but to me that’s not what’s important in this scene. I think the message that this scene gives is that because he is an addict he has to go through a struggle with himself and his urges and his emotions every time he finds himself in a similar situation. This ending shows that for his character, it’s never really over (not at least until he gets some major help) and we can tell by that last look he gives that he is disgusted and ashamed by that, but at the same time, he still can’t look away.
"Physical things, like the twitch and stuff like that, that sort of began as an idea, early on. It really just felt right; I can’t exactly explain why at first. And then, as I realized that he had so much going on in his mind, so many pieces of information to hold onto, and, emotionally, he was repressing so much, that sometimes that comes out in strange physical ways and attributes and tics. And I found that to be a way in which it was like an expression of this emotional state; he just couldn’t emote, because it would hurt the case. It could hurt him in trying to figure out the case, it could cause great doubt. So he was just dealing with computing so much that it was almost like an overload. It was like a glitch." - Jake Gyllenhaal
Angels and Demons can’t cross over onto our plane. So, instead we get what I call half-breeds. The influence peddlers. They can only whisper in our ears. But a single word can give you courage, or turn your favorite pleasure into your worst nightmare. Those with the demon’s touch like those part angel, living alongside us. They call it the balance. I call it hypocritical bullshit. /Constantine (2005)

Robin Holland, photographer: Steve facetiously asked me, “Will you shoot the quintessential portrait of Steve McQueen and Michael Fassbender? The photo that whenever anyone thinks of us, this will be the image they have in mind?”
Breaking Bad: characters [1/??]"well, then why should we do anything more than once? should i just smoke this one cigarette? maybe we should only have sex once, if it’s the same thing. should we just watch one sunset? or live just one day? because it’s new every time. each time is a different experience."

Okay, here’s what’s going to happen. I’m going to pat you down with my hands over your clothes. When I get to a sensitive area, I’m going to be using only the back of my hand. Back of my hand. Back of my hand only. Are you comfortable with this?
